This excellent Shinwa Nodachi sword incorporates the classic weapon design that was wielded by Zatoichi, the famous blind swordsman character of popular Japanese films and television. Measuring 40 1/4 inches in overall length, the Damascus steel for this sword's blade is hand forged and heat tempered to provide 2000 layers of outstanding cutting power. The 28 3/8 inch straight blade is tightly held by a hardwood handle and slides smoothly into the matching hardwood sheath. Both the handle and sheath are finished in an elegant maroon lacquer. This is yet another fine example of the reputable craftsmanship that defines all Shinwa swords!
