Black Zatoichi Stick "Dao" Ninja Sword Feature

  • Overall length: 40 1/2"
  • Blade length: 29"
  • 440 stainless steel blade
Dao is a category of single-edge Chinese swords primarily used for slashing and chopping (sabers), often called broadswords in English because some varieties have wide blades. Dao is actually a generic word used to denote any member of a family of single-edged, broad-bladed cutting or slicing tools, but in common, everyday usage means knife. The weapon is thereby thought to be an adaptation of the kitchen knives common to Chinese cuisine. This beautiful piece is a must have for any collector! Its magnificent black hardwood saya (the scabbard) and a matching wooden handguard piece featuring a handcrafted Japanese character " Sword " logo are intricately designed as individual works of art. The tang has a fitting also embroidered with " Sword " character in Japanese. Sharpened 440 stainless steel blade a straight edge design and the hamon along the blade. Overall length: 40" Blade length: 29"
